Trampolinists hit new heights
STUDENTS at Nailsea School are jumping for joy after winning top honours in a regional trampolining competition.
The competition – the first of its kind the school has entered – was organised by the West of England Sport.

A team of six pupils – Jack Sell, 12; Katie Wilkes, 14; Lucy Blackham, 14; Tom Meakin, 12; Eleanor Bear, 13, and Imogen Edney, 13, who have only been trampolining for a year, took part in the contest.
They completed various components for the competition which included set routines, set skills, and body management.

Nailsea competed against the best schools in Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire including Haysfield, Hans Price, and John Cabot and came first overall, taking the gold medal.
The Nailsea students were trained by the Alchemy Trampoline Club in preparation for the competition.
A special awards ceremony to celebrate the sporting achievements of Nailsea School students is held annually at Cadbury House in Congresbury.
