Totterdown United boosted their bid for promotion from Division I at the first attempt following last season's relegation disappointment with a 4-1 home victory over St Mary's.

Simon Newman netted a consolation for Saints in reply to goals from Lewis Roberts, who notched a hat-trick, and Craig Short for the Totts.

The victory saw them climb to second in the table, four points behind unbeaten leaders Longwell Green Reserves.

Shaun Humphries, Evan Evans and Mac Scotland were on target for Seymour United, who were leading 3-1 against AEK Boco when the game was abandoned by referee Stephen Cook in the 79th minute following the sending-off of a Boco player.

Hartcliffe took a step nearer safety in the Premier Division with a 2-1 victory at Winterbourne Reserves, for whom Ashley White replied to a first-half double from Cameron Hughes.
