Toolstation League round-up
Andy Black's Bitton took over top spot in the Premier Division thanks to a 2-0 home victory over Ilfracombe Town, coupled with the fact his brother's side, Bristol Manor Farm, won 2-0 at Dawlish.
Bitton lead on goal difference and have two games in hand on Dawlish.
Bristol Manor Farm are in third place, two points behind.
Bitton dominated against Ilfracombe, but had to wait until late on before scoring the second goal to make the game safe.
They took a fifth-minute lead when Matt Tiley's corner from the right was headed clear to the lurking Michael Meaker who made no mistake from 10 yards.
They clinched victory with a goal 10 minutes from the end by central defender Steve Jones.
Manor Farm manager John Black was pleased with his side's showing.
They took the lead 10 minutes before the interval when Kye Thomas's pass to Jamie Stephens opened up the Dawlish defence. Stephens' pass created the opening for Scott Feltham to chip goalkeeper Martin Horsell.
The second goal came on the hour when Stephens through-ball split the home defence for Ben Hiscox to race clear and round the advancing Horsell to score. Brislington, who were leading 2-0, had their home game against Sherborne Town abandoned after 65 minutes by the referee.
The teams had waited 25 minutes for an ambulance to arrive when a Sherborne player broke his leg.
"The referee told me he was abandoning the game as the pitch had deteriorated while we had been waiting for an ambulance and a couple of the Sherborne players had to go to work," said Brislington manager Jeff Meacham.
Todd Winters put Brislington ahead after 15 minutes with a 25-yard drive.
They made it 2-0 10 minutes into the second half when Christian Miller was brought down in the penalty area. He got up to score from the resulting penalty kick.
Hallen manager Gary Domone was upset with the standard of refereeing in their 1-0 defeat at Devizes Town.
The only goal of the game came in the eighth minute when defender Paul Owen turned a cross into his own net.
Hallen were awarded a penalty in the 37th minute but Andy Cook's spot kick was saved by Paul Thompson.
In Division One, leaders Cadbury Heath won 4-1 at Oldland Abbotonians.
Wayne Pearce gave Oldland an early lead. Luke Westwood netted a 20-yard equaliser. Tim Summers' header, Sacha Tong and Keith Williams then sealed victory.
Longwell Green Sports crashed to a shock 3-1 home defeat against Wells City, who took a 12th-minute lead through Billy Manning. Green equalised from the spot in the 49th minute through Mark Summers.
Wells took a 65th minute led through Kieron White and clinched victory through Levi Marlow.
Third-placed Portishead took a 37th minute lead through James Clarke at Shepton Mallett who got back on terms three minutes later Ben Lacey struck to put pt the home side on terms.
Two early second half goals from Clarke and Ollie Hatfield gave Portishead a 3-1 victory but both sides finished with ten men after Ashley Francis of Shepton Mallett and Portishead's Nick Sloan were both sent off following an incident. Keynsham went on a goal spree in beating visiting Elmore 5-2 with goals from a first half hat trick from Ross McNab with Scott Brain and Chris Durbin on target early in the second half.
Roman Glass St George took an early lead through Chris Astley at Minehead who equalised through Aaron Deakes from the penalty spot but Roman Glass hit back to score a late winner through Andy Morris.
Hengrove Athletic took a 13th minute through Ben Crew at Almondsbury who hit back to take a well deserved point with a goal from Adam Grinter.
