Hanham Minor League Under-10s: Keynsham Town's run of narrow defeats in Division B continued as they lost 3-1 at home to Warmley.

Defences were on top throughout and it was always going to take something special to beat two good goalkeepers.

A long-distance piledriver from Toby Sawyer flew past Keynsham keeper Mason Bean with eight minutes remaining and it looked like the home team's admirable effort and commitment were going to go unrewarded.

However, Keynsham responded brilliantly, taking the game to Rangers for the remainder of the match, and they got their reward when Lewis Whitcombe flighted over a superb cross which evaded everybody bar the impressive Lochlainn Collins, who easily slotted home at the far post.

Warmley had the better of the second game and Keynsham were indebted on several occasions to man-of- the match keeper Jacob Ware .

Warmley's first goal came straight from Town's second-half kick-off as they pinched the ball and caught them cold, with Cash Vinnal netting. The second was a speculative shot which got a vital deflection just in front of Ware from Harry Broughton.

A goal in each game was enough for league leaders Nicholas Wanderers to win 2-0 against third-placed Bitton in Division A.

with Sam Delve and Jordan Connolley on target.

Two absorbing games ended with Wanderers coming out on top but having to scrap all the way against a determined Bitton team.

Wanderers' first match goal came courtesy of a flicked-on throw-in which was tapped in at the far post by Sam Delve, while Jordan Connolly settled game two with another close-range finish.

Bitton's Todd Carter and George Jones caught the eye in the first match, while Wanderers' Jack Staples and Bitton's Jack Churchill, Rob Smyth and Ollie Shopland did well in the second game.

Saltford Stars continued their free-scoring form with a thumping 9-0 victory over Broadwalk.

Saltford settled early, with Ben Ferris-Pulsford, Jack Muse and captain Luke Greenfield all taking advantage of defensive mistakes to put them 3-0 up.

Courtney Hazel pulled off some good saves as Broadwalk tried to hit back but Jack Muse completed his hat-trick before half-time to make it 4-0.

Further goals followed in the second half from Jon Satterley (2), Greenfield (2) and Ferris-Pulsford. Broadwalk never gave up but solid work from the Saltford defence kept them out, while Max Perret put in another solid tackling performance to earn the man-ofthe-match award.

The second game ended in a 0-0 draw. James Downes pulled off two excellent early saves in the first half to keep Broadwalk out, while Sam Speed and Jack Palmer both hit the bar for Saltford.

Brave keeping from Kieran Griffin in the second half ensured a clean sheet for Broadwalk, despite tireless efforts from Callum Thomas, Theo Cutmore and George Green.

James Downes was the Saltford man-of-the-match with a solid display to ensure his team's first overall clean sheet of the season.

Highridge United won 4-0 away at Deerswoodm sealing a 1-0 victory in game with with a great individual goal by Jack Godfrey, who ran past four players before cooly slotting home.

Highridge star player was keeper Kierra Greenslade, who made a series of fine saves, including two magnificent double stops when Deerswood looked certain to score.

Oliver Greenslade and Harry Hemmings tackled well in defence and the midfield of Callum O'Shea, Jack Godfrey and Cameron Williams all battled well.

Highridge took the lead in game two when Kyle Matthews prodded in. The second came when a fantastic passing move involving Matthews, Billy Beese, Ben Priddis and Callum White ended with Priddis smashing the ball home.

Priddis also missed a penalty efore adding his second goal with a low drive into the bottom corner. Aaron Banfield and Bradley Flook battled well in defence, as did substitutes Shaynah Doherty and Sid Dorrington.
