Dog lovers turn out to Bristol event
Dog lovers turned out for special event to highlight the plight of ex-racing greyhounds.
The greyhound gathering and dogs picnic took place at Eastville Park on Sunday.
The picnic was part of an International Greyhound Remembrance weekend in which animal welfare organisations across the world will be holding events to highlight the plight of ex-racing greyhounds who are often mistreated, abandoned or killed when their racing days are over.
There were stalls from a number of charities, including Bristol Dog Action Welfare Group (D.A.W.G), and Hollyhedge sanctuary.
Dogs were all given purple ribbons to wear on the day as a mark of remembrance.
