Thrills on wheels as Bristol park hosts contest
Young people from across Bristol took part in Hengrove Play Park's 2009 summer BMX, scooter and skateboard competition yesterday.
The competition was an exciting opportunity for children aged four to 18 to show just how good they are on two and four wheels, with the chance to win some great prizes donated by local businesses.
The event was officially opened by Bristol's Lord Mayor, Cllr Christopher Davies, when he cut the ribbon.
The event was organised by the city council's Hengrove Play Park team in partnership Crucial BMX. Cineworld and Frankie & Benny's donated prizes, and Safer Bristol was present.
