Thieves target Bristol film festival's advertising banners
An eye-catching banner advertising a film festival has been cut from railings and another spat on.
The bright blue banner, which is three metres wide and one-and-a-half metres high, was tied to the railings of Bristol's Central Library.

It was up for just four days before disappearing last weekend. Another banner in a different location in the city was also partially cut down.
The Unchosen film festival, which starts on November 6, is a Bristol-based project that raises awareness of human trafficking by featuring some award-winning films around the subject.
Festival founder, Trish Davidson, 59, said the four banners advertising the festival cost £150 each and described them as the "single most expensive outgoing for the project".
She said: "It's frustrating really. Being a voluntary group, £750 is a lot of dosh. It's like chucking money down the drain."
She has now secured the remaining three banners with strong wire, but is appealing for the stolen one to be returned.
If anyone has any information on the stolen banner or sees it dumped anywhere, please contact the project on 370 6417 or email info@unchosen.org.uk.

“Hello people who have the banner - please, please give it back, all is forgiven. It's a really good film season and should be promoted properly.”
