Tesco to reopen controversial store
TESCO is to reopen its controversial Cheltenham Road store.
Workers began repairing the broken front windows and graffiti-covered sign above the door today, as repairs and restocking of the Tesco Express store, looted during a riot last month, appeared to be going on inside.

“Malcolm, perhaps not the best way to get in touch. No other option.
Hi!”

“@Sam: I am well aware what goes on in massage parlours - an honest respectable trade between consenting adults.
But the workers in massage parlours thankfully are not skanky street walkers plying their trade in the open street attracting kerb crawlers who perster and solicit residents going about their daily business on the way to and from school and work, which was what the residents of St Paul's had to suffer for decades before the residents, police and council joined forces to clean-up the residential area over the past two decades.”

“Dearest sir Bootsie, eagerly getting my club card ready for tomorrow . .
thank you for your valued comments. From what I understand of your post, and that was very little due to the illiterate nature of it may I suggest you continue to shop in Asda Bedminster and keep your disapproval of massage parlours to yourself. These premises provide valuable employment in the local area and continual business to the additional shops along the way.
Yours Sincerely
LT”

“Dear Mr Hoyt and the Anti Tesco brigade
Tesco will now not reopen, it will instead be replaced by a Sainsbury's who will smash through to the adjoining buildings making it a bigger store than Tesco. They will overcharge people, remain open 24 hours a day, but have a very strict door policy. You will not enter Sainsburys if you fall into the following category
- unemployed
-drink at La Canteen
- on any form of benefit
- you are called Tarquin
- not from La Peoples republique a Stokes Croft
- live in Easton, Southmead, Hartcliffe, St Pauls, Picton St, Clifton, Redland, Horfield, Westbury Park, Montpelier, Ashely Down
- shop at Asdawls
- like 20:20, Special Brew, Thatcher's Gold, Lambert and Butler
- disagree with the Ashton Gate Project
-watch Jeremy Kyle
-take home less than £30,000 Pa
I hope you are happy with this new development and will stop the constant moaning, about anything and everything!”

“Malcolm
perhaps you are blind of the mind
Just what do you think goes on in those massage parlours other than prostitution?
People do not go to Stokes Croft to sort out their backs....
Good on Tescos, boo to the PRSC for ignoring their own problems.”

“@ Dog Walker: Perhaps at weekends I might see the very ocassional skanky street walker loitering around Portland Square but thats it. You'll be calling the entire residents of St Paul's pimps and drug dealers next!”

“Am I blind or something? What prostitutes on Stokes Croft? Are you not just stereotyping the area with tired cliches? Even St Paul's has been free of prostitutes and kerb-crawlers for well over a decade at least. The only tarts who ply their trade around Stokes Croft, are hidden away in licenced massage parlours/brothels.”
