"From very early on in my time here he caught the eye, was a constant in training and from February onwards was involved in the majority of the matchday squads.
"He always wants to improve, ask questions and listens intently to your answers. He has an appetite to be the best he can be, and with the right guidance and development he can have a very promising future with Bristol City.
Bryan said: "As soon as the manager said he'd like to give me a new deal it was a very easy decision; I was delighted.
"I always felt if called upon I could do a job for the club and it's my ultimate aim to command a regular place.
"When Greg (Cunningham) and George (Elokobi) both suffered injuries, inadvertently it offered me an opportunity, but of course the Leeds game was a nightmare because I suffered concussion and had to come off myself.
"At least it came in the ideal time with two weeks off, so I didn't miss many games and now I'm back fit and available again."

“A good move and, hopefully, an opportunity for him to play due to injuries although, I still think that Wilson & Foster will be our full backs at Bolton, barring signings.
I actually think Joe will be even better playing wide left midfield in front of Greg Cunningham, when he's fit.”
