Team news: Bristol Rovers v Southend United
Bristol Rovers boss Mark McGhee has reverted to a more familiar flat-back four in a side showing two changes to the one which was knocked out of the FA Cup by Sheffield United on Saturday.
Tom Parkes returns from suspension to slot in alongside Garry Kenneth at the heart of defence, which allows Matthew Lund and Jim Paterson, who made up a three-defensive unit alongside the skipper at the weekend, both return to full-back positions.

Lee Brown moves further forward on to the left-hand side of midfield, while Derek Riordan is returned to a central striking role alongside Tom Eaves, who was played up front on his own against the Blades.
On-loan goalkeeper Neil Etheridge replaces Sam Walker, who drops to the bench along with Michael Smith, who also started at the weekend. Defender Danny Woodards returns to the match day squad for the first time since breaking his leg at the end of last season and is named amongst the substitutes.
