EDEN Grove took another step towards lifting the Senior Division crown at the first attempt with a hard-fought 3-0 home victory against Bristol Barcelona.

On target for last season's Division I champions were Adam Taynton, his brother, Aaron, and Dan Hunt.

Second-placed Brislington Cricketers came from behind to win 2-1 at Roman Glass St George A.

Saints led at the break with a Brendan Matthews goals, but Russell Simmons equalised and Matt Grimes slotted home the winner with a penalty, awarded for handball.

Coalpit Heath's hopes of earning their first point of the season were dashed by Paul Harris, whose late goal gave Chipping Sodbury Reserves a 2-1 win. Scott McDougall was the other scorer for Sodbury.

Chris Misir notched his third hattrick in successive weeks for Sea Mills Park in a 3-1 home success against Wick Reserves, before going off with a groin strain, while Nicholas Wanderers Reserves went down 2-0 at home to second-half goals from Adam Grinter and Lee Simmonds for Hanham Athletic Reserves.

Longwell Green A won 5-2 in the basement battle with Hallen A, who were sunk by strikes from Paul Jackson (2), Mike Smart, Andy Smith and Mike Stephens to remain in the drop zone with Coalpit Heath.

Warmley Saints extended their lead to nine points in Division I with an 8-0 home romp against struggling DRG Stapleton Reserves.

Hat-tricks from Adam O'Brien and Paul Cutter sparked off the scoring spree by the runaway leaders, whose tally was completed by Sam Andrews and Phil Anstey.

Crosscourt United lost ground after a 2-0 defeat by Stockwood Wanderers, who leapfrogged their visitors into second place thanks to Bobby Bricker's double strike.

A 4-3 win at Miners Rangers kept Mendip Reserves on the fringe of the race for honours. James Carradine (2), Dan Young and Gary Bennett on target, while John Reed (2) and Simon Witheridge replied for the hosts.

Ross Davey and Shaun Godfrey both netted twice for Iron Acton as they crushed Seymour Reserves 7-0. Josh Donaldson, James Chapman and Matt Sully were also on the mark.

Goals from Jelani Wallis and Aaron Sherring could not save St Pancras from a 4-2 home setback against Rangeworthy, whose marksmen were Richard Smoothy (3) and Mark Ritchen.

Portville Warriors returned to the top of thanks to a 3-2 home victory against previous leaders De Veys. Van Papantoniou, Adam Scrace and Sam Moore scored for Warriors, with Danny Gould and John Bale hitting back for the visitor.

Bradley Stoke Town came from behind to beat Winterbourne A 3-1, after trailing to an early goal from Dan Bailey. Adam Townsend, Matt Corney and Adam Sykes hit back to seal victory.

Nicholas Wanderers A crashed 3-0 at home to efforts from Harley Le-Leivre, Chris Iles and Ben Ingram for Iron Acton Reserves, while Kevin Pearce grabbed the only goal for Pucklechurch at home to Fry Club A.

Lebeq Reserves lead Division III by 11 points following a 5-0 success at Soundwell Victoria. Jermaine Hughes netted twice and was joined on the scoresheet by Marcel Smith, Craig Wilson and substitute Nigel Edwards, who crashed home a screaming drive.

Second-placed Hartcliffe Reserves lost 4-2 at Henbury A, with Dan Wilson scoring twice, while Sam Thomas earned Roman Glass St George B a 1-0 win over Horfield United.

Jamie Cumsable, Fred Mullen and an own goal clinched a 3-2 home win for Olveston Reserves against Lawrence Rovers Reserves.

Talbot Knowle Reserves proved to be no match for Real Thornbury, the 100 per cent Division IV pacesetters, who handed out a 10-3 beating to their hosts thanks to Sam Taylor (3), Mike Barton (2), George Acton (2), Alex Clifford (2) and an own goal.

Kris Reuben, Jason Ford and Ben Lewis were on target for second- placed Patchway North End, who won 3-0 at Wick A, while Matt Johnson's 80th-minute strike proved decisive for Frampton Reserves at home to AEK Boco A.

Broadlands retained their 100 per cent record, winning 4-2 at Fry Club B. Drew Brimblecombe and John Smith both scored twice, with Tom Pitt and Matt Ollis replying for Fry's.

Doubles from Rich Duffy and Craig Chapman helped SBC Reserves beat Stanton Drew Reserves 6-3, while Ryan Miles and Ben McCarthey scored twice for Greyfriars A, 7-1 winners at Rangeworthy Reserves.
