Taunton Town 2 Bedfont Green 2: Taunton staged a late fightback to end their losing run in Division One South and West of the Southern League.

Despite creating some good scoring chances in the first half, Taunton found themselves trailing 2-0 by the hour mark.

But Kristian Miller pulled a goal back when he chipped goalkeeper Gary Ross on 85 minutes, and then Twaine Plummer netted from the penalty spot in the 90th minute after fellow striker Nick McCootie had been brought down.

The late equaliser enabled Taunton to end a run of eight straight defeats.

In the first half, both Plummer and McCootie missed chances before Bedfont struck in the 40th minute through Gavin Hart.

They doubled their lead when Tommy McCarthy headed home Hart's cross in the 61st minute.

To add to their misery at the end, Bedfont had striker Russell Minor sent off for two bookable offences.
