AFC Hayes 5 Taunton Town 2: Taunton Town are now uncomfortably close to the relegation zone in Division One South and West of the BGB Southern League following this latest defeat – their 23rd of the season.

Not only did they finish up a well-beaten side but the two teams below them, Winchester City and Bracknell Town, both won.

Hayes went ahead in the 11th minute when Victor Osubu netted from close range and Ross Ahir added a second on 22 minutes.

Nick McCootie pulled one back for Taunton, but Dean Papali restored Hayes' two-goal after half-time.

Osubu then struck twice to complete his hat-trick before Alexis Piper scored a consolation for Town.
