Tarring all politicians with the same brush
Please could Bill Bowrey of Downend tell me where he buys his rose-tinted spectacles?
Or could it be that his opinions are somewhat coloured by the fact that he was a Labour councillor? Perhaps Roger Berry does work hard, but perhaps he might not have to work quite so hard to raise benefits if Tony Blair hadn't spent billions of our money on a war in Iraq based on lies, and Gordon Brown hadn't sold our gold too cheaply and stolen £5bn from our pension funds in 1997. They have squandered £12.5 million on NHS IT and paid over £600bn of our taxes to the EU.
So, Bill, why don't you ask Roger why he spent so much time campaigning against post office closures when he knew that the EU dictated to our Labour Government that the post office closures are ordered by an EU Directive 97/67/EC over which he and rest of the House of Commons had no choice but to obey.
As 75 per cent of our laws are now made in Brussels, there should be fewer MPs and for those that remain, their expenses and salaries should be less and less.
Dean Stonehill.
