TEAM NEWS: Middlesbrough v Bristol City
Bristol City boss Derek McInnes was forced into another unwanted defensive change ahead of today's npower Championship clash against Middlesbrough at the Riverside.
New signing Matthew Bates was pulled out after complaining of a tight hamstring in training and veteran centre-back Louis Carey came back in for his 635th City appearance.
McInnes also made an enforced change at the other end of the pitch, replacing injured striker Jon Stead with Ryan Taylor in a 4-4-1-1 system that required Neil Kilkenny to play in an advanced role.
New loan signing Danny Wilson, recruited from Liverpool on a two-month deal before Thursday's deadline, was named among the substitutes.

“We now have seven central defenders albeit three are injured:
Nyatanga-4-6 weeks
McManus 3 weeks
Bates-1 Week
Still leaves two rights & two lefts which (hopefully) should do a job.”
