TEAM NEWS: Bristol City v Charlton Athletic
Bristol City boss Derek McInnes made five changes to his starting line-up to face Charlton today as he sought to end a depressing six-match losing sequence.
James Wilson came in for injured centre-back Stephen McManus, while Neil Kilkenny replaced fractured cheekbone victim Cole Skuse in the centre of midfield.
If those changes were forced upon him, the others were not. Striker Jon Stead was dropped to the bench to allow Ryan Taylor to partner Sam Baldock in attack, Martyn Woolford was selected ahead of Stephen Pearson on the left side of midfield and goalkeeper Dean Gerken, having done nothing wrong in the previous two games, made way for Tom Heaton.
Top-scorer Steven Davies recovered sufficiently from a hamstring strain to feature on the substitutes' bench and veteran defender Louis Carey was also named in the squad after injury.
