Supermarine stretched their unbeaten run to seven games as they booked a place in the second round of theSouthern League GX Cup.

Manager Mark Collier played a much changed side but Supermarine were still good value for their win against opponents from Division One South and West.

Mark Draycott opened the scoring for the Swindon side on 15 minutes when he hammered the ball in from 15 yards after some neat inter-passing with Steve Cook.

The home side hit back to equalise ten minutes later, Michael Bartley netting after a penetrating through ball from Jack King.

Supermarine went close to getting in front again as the first half continued, on two occasions home goalkeeper Tom Buckner did well to save efforts from both Cook and Luke Hopper.

Efforts from Hopper and Danny Allen hit the woodwork during an even second half while at the other end Neville Roach and Bartley missed Didcot's best chances.

The winner came in the 82nd minute. Nick Stanley, on as a substitute, tried a speculative effort from 25 yards out and the ball looped over Buckner into the net.
