Tiverton Tn 1 Swindon Supermarine 1: Supermarine have given their best performances away from home this season and they were unlucky not to leave Ladysmead with all three points.

Tiverton had the better of the early exchanges with James Fraser having an effort saved by Matt Bulman and Tom Knighton shooting over the top.

At the other end Alan Griffin – back following injury – wasted a good chance before Mark Draycott headed over.

The Supermarine goal came on 33 minutes when Draycott was up-ended in the box and got up to beat Steve Book from the penalty spot.

The lead lasted only eight minutes, Knighton netting the equaliser after turning well in the box following a pass from Mark Saunders.

Supermarine had the better of the chances as the second half progressed.

Book saved well from a Chris Taylor free kick and late on substitute Steve Cook shot straight at Book when he should have done better.

● In the Southern League Division One South & West, Cirencester Town were in the lead twice at Slough but could not hang on to give new manager Brian Hughes an opening game win.

Hughes started his second spell in charge of the club last week following Adi Viveash's move to a coaching job at Chelsea's Academy.

Cirencester started brightly and took an early lead through Matt Williams.

Slough's new-signing Yashwa Romeo levelled the scores on 31 minutes, but before the break poor home defending allowed James Reid to put the visitors ahead.

Slough raised their game at the start of the second half and a 68th minute Danny Jordan thunder-bolt made it 2-2.

The game swung from end-to-end in a tense finish, but it was Slough who clinched the decider when Matthew Platt headed home Lee Riddell's free-kick.
