Bristol Saracens secured their highest league victory when they routed Gloucester Premier bottom side Hucclecote 96-0.

The Henbury-based outfit crossed the whitewash 16 times with wing David 'Didz' Wright claiming five tries.

Mike Race (2), Ross Bergen (2) Ed Windsor, Jamie Lloyd, Ian Werritt, Jez Kurwin, Simon Wright-Hider, Chris Finn and Nick Webster, who also landed eight conversions, all touched down.

Southmead have gone three points clear of third-placed Matson after beating the Gloucester team 30-23.

Brothers Simon and Tony Knight, Leon Oakes, and Danny Cotterell, who also hit two conversions and two penalties, touched down.

Southmead are four points behind leaders Drybrook but visit the Forest of Dean-based outfit on Saturday in a rearranged match and also have a game in hand.

Sam Pearce landed a penalty with the last kick of the match to claim a 14-13 win for Whitehall at Cirencester.

Second-from-bottom Frampton Cotterell lost 17-5 to Old Colstonians, Alex Giles scoring the South Gloucestershire-based side's try.

Simon Burton, Kai Daniel and Anthony Stilwell touched down for Stapleton-based Colstonians with George Burrows adding a conversion.

Old Bristolians have secured their fifth win in a row in Gloucester One after beating Dursley 29-0.

Tries came from Steve Forster, Lyndon Davies, Dan Evans and Nick Reed. Simon Hawkins landed three conversions and a penalty.

Simon Jeffery's try claimed an 18-15 win for Bishopston against Longlevens.

Debutant Phil Cottis also touched down and landed a conversion. James Oakley kicked two penalties.

Chipping Sodbury beat bottom side Painswick with Steve Romanowski converting tries by Bernard McMillan and Phil Player.

Chris Brown, Pat Creaven, Shaun Smith, Craig Richings, Ben Guy and Ben Hall touched down in Ashley Down's 38-32 victory at Cheltenham Civil Service. Paul Glen landed four conversions.

Richard Starr touched down with Andy Cochram kicking a conversion in Aretians 32-7 defeat against Tewkesbury.

In Gloucester Two, Kingswood came from behind to win 29-7 against Old Elizabethans.

Captain Paul Allen crossed on four minutes but Old E's led at the break thanks to Dom Swann's interception try. Swann also kicked the conversion.

Kingswood woke up in the second half with Allen adding two more tries before Steve Trevelyan and Gareth Pond touched down to make the game safe. Ian Kirley and Allen added a conversion each.

James Douglas claimed five tries as Gloucester Three leaders St Brendan's won 66-5 against Gloucester Civil Service.

Pete Hargreaves, Dafydd Evans, Dan Ford, Mike Musten and Tim Jones also crossed. Ben Chilvers kicked five conversions and two penalties.

In Somerset Premier, Bristol Harlequins thrashed Tor 47-7 with tries coming from Ross Hickery (2), Jay Wilkins (2), Aaron Baker, Lee Pearn, and James Lewis. Barry Stone landed two conversions and three penalties.

Somerset One leaders St Bernadette's have gone four points clear of second-placed Taunton 2nds after winning 16-3 at Combe Down and the reserve side lost 10-6 against 14-man Gordano.

Dan Harris and Ollie James touched down for Saints with Chris Holley kicking two penalties.

Gordano pulled off a remarkable win away to second-placed Taunton, despite having hooker Leon Blackman sent off for retaliation early in the second half.

Tim Coughlan got the visitors off to a good start with a penalty and also converted a second-half try by half-back partner Aaron French.

Broad Plain, who are now being coached by former Bristol hooker Neil Clark, won 16-10 at home to Wiveliscombe, Olly Nowell kicking two penalties to add to tries from Wayne Morgan and Paul Morgan.

Chipping Sodbury take on Gordano tomorrow at Aretians' Little Stoke ground in the Charles Saunders Combination Plate first round (7.30pm).
