Summer concert to aid troops
MUSICIANS for all ages will come together for a concert in St George's in aid of military servicemen.
The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) will benefit from the summer concert which takes place on Monday, July 9, at 7.30pm.
To commemorate ten years of Britain's presence in Afghanistan a concert has been organised to help raise funds and celebrate the efforts of the charity. It will include a performance from the South Bristol Music Centre Community Orchestra.
They will perform familiar military marches like The Great Escape and Colonel Bogey, not to mention rock numbers such as Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms.
