Downed Saints are enjoying the afterglow of the most amazing clutch of results in the club's short history.

The Under-7s and Under-8s demonstrated their progress with a a victory and draw respectively in their weekend friendlies, while the Under-9s turned around a 4-0 deficit against Bristol Spartak to win 6-5 and book a place in the quarter-finals of the Hanham Minor League Cup.

The Under-10s repeated the feat by winning their local derby with Downend Boys 4-1, and their hat-trick of cup victories was completed in a nailbiting penalty shoot-out by the Under-11s , who beat Southmead CS.

Downend's older teams also kept the run going in Avon Youth League matches.

The Under-12s defeated Bradley Stoke United 1-0 in Division IV and the Under-14s enjoyed an emphatic 6-2 victory over Keynsham B in Division V.
