Mangotsfield United 2 Bracknell Town 0

Mangotsfield United dominated this FA Cup preliminary round game against Southern League strugglers Bracknell Town to set up a home tie with Wantage Town in the first qualifying round.

Mangotsfield opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Luke Prosser's cross was converted by Tom Knighton with a well-taken header.

Skipper Scott Hendy made a goal line clearance to protect the Mangotsfield lead in the opening minutes of the second half before substitute Jason Wood, who was making his first appearance, was just off target on the hour-mark for the home side.

Ryan Bennett went close to increasing the Mangotsfield lead with a header, and then Hendy missed a close-range chance before, in a rare Brackley attack, goalkeeper Tony Court made a good save from a Gary Smith header to protect their lead.

Mangotsfield clinched victory with a 79th-minute goal. Geraint Bater sent substitute Kyle Tooze racing clear of the Brackley defence and he slid the ball past the advancing keeper .
