Student gets help from the Queen

A glass painter from Bristol has been awarded a scholarship from Princess Anne to study at the University of Sunderland.

Eleanor Bird received a Queen Elizabeth Scholarship from HRH The Princess Royal worth £7,840 to enable her to study for an MA in glass.

She received the scholarship at the Royal Warrant Holders' Luncheon.

The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) is designed to advance education in modern and traditional crafts and trades in the UK.
