Stone reigns supreme in Acorn's Paddock battle
GEOFF Stone came up with the winning overall catch in the South West Disabled & Over-50s AC match, fished on Acorn's Paddock at Kingston Seymour.
Stone drew to fish at Paddock three. He lightly ground-baited his 10-metre pole line and the bottom of the nearside shelf with micro pellet and on the whistle attacked the former with an 8mm pellet of punched luncheon meat
-

He said: "When the carp stopped feeding I switched to my second line of attack and continued to catch regularly.
"A small but regular amount of feed kept the odd fish interested and at the weigh-in my 57-8-0 catch of carp was considered to be an excellent result."

He said: "I fished mainly for carp from the start, but was quite happy to add whatever came along to my keepnet."
Ian Cole beat match organiser Nick Tomkins to third place by an ounce.
Cole worked the nearside margins of the unused neighbouring peg 33 for a 41-13-0 mixed bag, while Tomkins used a variety of baits and methods at peg 28 for a total catch of 41-12-0.
