Stokes and Purnell do the trick for Shadwell Rovers
Regional Sunday league round-up:
Rob Stokes and Jon-Paul Purnell both hit hat-tricks as Shadwell Rovers eased through the preliminary round of the Gilbert Pullin Memorial Cup with a 6-1 win over LFB United.
The highest scoring preliminary round tie was Lebeq Reserves' 7-4 win against BAWA Athletic. Makinde Kondwani scored twice for Lebeq, with Alec Lawrence, Donny Adams, Ricky Harvey, Ian Power and Sheldon Sawyer also on target. Patrick Barter (3) and Peter Gainey replied for BAWA.
Black Horse Boys breezed into the next round with a 5-0 win at Clevedon Town Sunday, Dave Cook netting twice and Simon Gingell, Dan Edwards and John Sims also on the scoresheet.
Real Bristol were among the other big winners, smashing AFC Keynsham 6-0 thanks to a Matthew Brown double, Jason Steele, Nick Weeks, Aaron Vailes and a calamitous 35-yard own goal.
Almondsbury Athletic edged a nine-goal thriller against Quayside, winning 5-4 after extra time.
Greg Edgar scored twice for the victors, with Ricky Grice, Matt Avent and Craig Stephens also on target. James Cushion scored twice for the losing side, with 16-year-old duo Jo Black and Dan Green also finding the net.
Danny Sanderson fired a double in Bristol Athletic Social's 3-0 win against The Castle, with Sam Winstone getting the other goal.
Five different players got on the scoresheet for Sartan AFC, who won 6-2 at Longwell Green. Jake Hyman (2), Mitchell Thomas, Tom Ross, Lee Farmer and Bradley Thomas were all on target, while Matt Barnes saved a penalty. Danny Veale (penalty) and Mark Ashley got Longwell Green's goals.
Dan White scored twice for Lloyd United in their 4-2 win over Full Moon, with his side's other goals coming from Neil Rust and Mark Mercer. Tyrone McNeily and Kris Picton scored for Full Moon.
Chris King's doubled helped DKL Athletic to a 2-1 extra-time victory over Bristol Jaguars, while Spartans won 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw with Nicholas Wanderers. Tony Williams scored for Nicholas, with Dan Sparks on target for Spartans.
Ben Woodbridge's 25-yarder sealed Stoke Lane Athletic's 2-1 win over Lazz United. Ashley Lloyd got Stoke Lane's other goal.
A John-Paul Cahill hat-trick helped Fishponds Town defeat A1 Sports 3-2, while Steven Pocock's treble proved in vain as Hemplow Rangers crashed 6-3 to Portishead Rangers.
Goals from Jay Belton and Nick Brumpton netted for Sporting Bristol Reserves in a 5-2 defeat by BAWA Athletic Reserves.
The Argonauts lost 6-4 to Three Lions Vets, despite goals by John Veasey (2), Nick Baldwin and Rich Davis.
In the Premier Division, goals from Mitch Tippins and Ashley Hudd gave Sporting Bristol a 2-0 win over Stapleton Sunday, while Lebeq beat Downend 4-2.
