Stoke Bishop's Alex Werren is the star man
Alex Werren scored a hat- trick in Stoke Bishop's 4-2 victory over Sporting Greyhound Reserves.
The lively striker netted twice in the first half and once after the break.
Werren saw his team go a goal down to Sporting Greyhounds but, in the space of two minutes, the Stoke Bishop striker scored two very similar goals to turn things round by the interval.
His first came from a through ball by Ash Giles, allowing him to run at the defence before tucking the ball through the goalkeeper's legs.
Werren's second came in similar circumstances, with Marcus Bird the provider, before the forward scored with a low shot.
Stoke Bishop increased their lead in the second half through James Coombs and it was not long before Werren completed his hat-trick.
Bird was brought down in the box and, although Werren's spot-kick was saved, he followed-up to make it 4-1.
Although Greyhound scored another, there was no denying Stoke Bishop.
Werren said: "We are unbeaten in 32 league games and hopefully that record will help us to second place and promotion."
