Steve Brown's World Matchplay darts dream receives a helping hand
STEVE Brown heads into this weekend's European Tour event in Germany knowing he needs a decent run to salvage his World Matchplay dream.
The Bristolian star has endured a difficult start to 2012 and is on the brink of being eliminated from World Matchplay contention.

The 31-year-old world No 31 enjoyed the first televised victory of his career in Blackpool two years ago – but knows he needs to perform in Dusseldorf this weekend to book a return to the Winter Gardens.
"Realistically, I need to win four matches this weekend," said Brown. "I know it's a cliché but I can't think about that yet – I have to try to win one game at a time and take it from there."
