Stereophonics to play Bristol's Colston Hall
Welsh rockers Stereophonics will play a gig at Colston Hall in Bristol at the end of the month, a warm up for their national stadium tour at Christmas.
Tickets for the show on Friday, November 28, went on sale yesterday at 10am, but with little fanfare fans weren't queuing round the block.
A spokesman for Colston Hall said they were only informed of the show late on Thursday afternoon, so didn't have much chance to get the word out before the tickets went on sale.
The date at the 2,200 capacity venue is described as "an intimate warm up gig" for their stadium tour, which starts on December 3 in Glasgow.
The band - which still includes founding members Kelly and Richard Jones - released their debut album "Word Gets Around" in 1997.
They broke through into the mainstream with the follow up "Performance and Cocktails", which spawned a series of hit singles including "The Bartender and the thief" and "Just Looking".
The show comes shortly after the release of the groups greatest hits CD, "Decade In The Sun", on November 10.
Tickets cost £29.50 advance, and are available from the Colston Hall box office on 0117 922 3686.
