Steele appeal
I CAN remember having a great night out at the Hippodrome when I went to see Tommy Steele and the Steelemen.
I think it must have been around 1957 and I can remember that Tommy rushed onto the stage on his knees and how all the girls went forward and sprayed the stage with popcorn and they threw their handbags on the stage and tried to get onto the stage with their hero.
The act before Tommy was Mickey and Griff – what a great night we all had.
