Stars with bat and ball are honoured in Evening Post Top 30 awards
The Evening Post Top 30 Awards honour outstanding individual performances across all the leagues covering the Bristol area, and 2009 proved to be a vintage year for both batsmen and bowlers.
Eighteen-year-old Jamie Howson, for example, made headlines back in May with a sensational unbeaten 205, helping Lympsham to a club-record 352-2 against Carsons/Mangotsfield in a second XI Bristol and District Division Three clash.

Owen Johnson, of Bristol West Indians, piled up an unbeaten 173 in a second XI match against Warminster, and Sagren Raj also made hay with a career-best unbeaten 158 for Stoke Bishop, against St George, in Division Two of the Bristol and District League on the final weekend of the season.
But the batsmen did not have it all their own way, as Nathan Bowen, of Phoenix West Indians, showed in late May, the swing bowler taking 7-33 against Bristol Sri Lankans.
Imran Butt went two better with a nine-wicket haul for Pak Bristolians against Bristol Asians, helping to secure a 16-run win. And 6ft 5in teenage paceman James Beecham's 8-32 burst for Taveners against Bristol Fighting Spirit was the best performance on the same June weekend as Somerset's Andy Caddick starred for Clevedon.
The all-rounders also had their moments in the spotlight. David Baker, of Midsomer Norton Methodists, hit a maiden ton and then took 6-6 in a 60-run win over Old Bristolians Westbury in Division Four of the North Somerset Saturday Conference.
And Samantha top-scored for Bristol Sri Lankans with 94 and then took 5-41 to help seal an 18-run win over Bradley Stoke in Division One of the Bristol and District League.
