Star striker Maynard is an injury worry for Bristol City
BRISTOL City striker Nicky Maynard may have to see a knee specialist this week over the injury that is set to rule him out of the club's pre-season tour of Sweden.
Fellow frontman Danny Haynes is also set to miss the trip with groin and thigh problems.

Maynard will see how his knee settles down this week before the club's physios re-assess the problem.
City fly out today and are due to play three games in five days. Manager Steve Coppell said the duo were not likely to feature as a precaution, but defender Louis Carey will make the trip despite a cut heel received when carrying a barbecue.
"We've had a few little mishaps which is something I'm not best pleased with, but it happens," Coppell said.
Club captain Carey is yet to train with the club since they returned for pre-season at the start of the month.
Fellow defenders Christian Ribeiro (back) and James Wilson (knee) will remain in Bristol but Jamie McAllister (calf) is likely to travel with the rest of the squad this morning.
The lack of defensive options could mean Coppell has to play Bradley Orr in Sweden. The right-back remains the subject of interest from Queens Park Rangers.
The Londoners are thought to be yet to lodge an official bid and if Orr is injured on tour that could scupper any deal.
Coppell must decide today whether to take Orr or Hearts target Paul Hartley to Scandinavia.
The manager has plenty of midfield cover for Hartley, but the absence of Maynard and Haynes will mean opportunities for David Clarkson, John Akinde and Marlon Jackson.
The Robins will play Swedish top-flight sides Gothenburg (tomorrow) and Helsingborgs (Thursday), as well as tackling lower league Vallens IF (Saturday).
"I like to go away to get the team to express themselves without the result being all important," added Coppell.
The trip was arranged at the club at the close of last season and as a result the club are playing tougher opponents than the manager anticipated.
"We face two tough opponents," he said. We'll have to get up to speed quicker than anticipated."
Coppell added that he expected transfer activity at the club to speed up in the run-in to the season's start.
"Once we start playing games, you find out where the holes are and try to fill them," he said.

“Having sold up in the forties Eastville will always leave a bitter taste with their supporters, and there's no money in the coffers for any decent players as this has always vanished after players have been sold.Having no real home of their own,as the Mem will always be known as (Bristol Rugby)you can understand them feeling lost, that's why they have to come on our side to talk a load of Trollope, but the guy's over here find it so laughable.”

“It really makes me laugh how the blue boys have no decent threads of their own so they continuously trapse over to our stories and type the biggest load pittle just to try and spark a reaction from us,id be interested to know how many city fans actually bother reading the rovers threads let alone comment on them, its very very sad that you blue dross have nothing better to do and filton gas jealousy will get you knowhere in life...but you probably already know that!”

“Lol! Filton you've made my day! I think there is marginally a better chance of the gas being promoted. Why can't you just get behind your team, and inspire them to promotion! I know it will be difficult considering the circumstances. I think the blue side of Bristol is your everyone, lol! Lol! Chill and use your energy in supporting the Gas - I know we cast a big shadow over you - that's just how it is now, and how it has been for the last 10 years,”

“Lol Filton! What a crock...I think there is marginally more chance of the Gas joining us in the Championship...Everyone in the blue side of Bristol maybe but they are not experts. City have consistently been a top 10 Championship side...do I see sense a bit of the green-eyed monster Filton. Lol! You've made my day - stay off the aerosols and think with a clearer, objective head.”
