Bristol Under-18 Combination: St Vallier beat Shirehampton Reds 2-1 in their farewell game in the Bristol Under-18 Combination.

Saints, who had only 11 players available, got stronger as the Division A game went on and two second-half goals sealed a deserved win.

Abdul Salam teed up striker partner Jason Barter to volley them in front before Salam made it 2-0 on 70 minutes, firing home from Mitch Brookes' flick as the Shire defence hesitated. Tom Daley pulled one back for Shire in injury-time.

A spokesman for Saints, who finished their campaign in third spot having already decided to quit the league, said: "We have greatly appreciated playing in the Under-18s Combination for the last two seasons."

Division I champions Oldland Abbotonians suffered their first and only league defeat of the season, going down 4-3 at Mangotsfield.

Broadwalk Colts finished as runners-up in the division, while Imperial Saints were crowned Division A champions, with Stoke Lane second. Almondsbury took the Gloucestershire title, with Forest Green runners-up.
