Spelling horrors
I would refer to the letters in last Wednesday's edition of the Post by L J Smith and Mike Jackson.
I, too, find myself constantly irritated by the mispronunciation of the beautiful English language.
Amongst many, one which is perpetually pronounced wrongly is the word "mischievous". It is always used by people as "mischeevious".
Also, many thanks to the Post for printing the stories about unsung heroes' splendid voluntary work.
Mrs J B Sheppard,
Kingswood, Bristol.
