Southmead fire 'destroys' garage
A FIRE which broke out in a stand-alone garage on Southmead Road overnight left extensive damage.
The Avon Fire and Rescue Service said the garage was "more or less destroyed" after crews doused the flames just after midnight.

Two crews from Southmead and Patchway attended the fire in the single story building which was presumed to have been used to store rubbish.
The crews used breathing apparatus and high pressure hose reels as they tackled the fire.
