THE last West Country moto-cross action of 2008 takes place tomorrow at Moreleigh, near Totnes. It is an ORPA event at Farleigh Farm and features an 18-race programme.

Those competing include Nick Life, who was 14th in the recent Weston Beach race, new South West area champion Paul Vallance, Paul and Ben Deeble, Mark Relland, Tom Harvey and Matt Clayden.

For trial followers there is a choice of three events in Somerset on Sunday.

Top award winners of yesteryear will be in action at Lansdown in the Bath Classic club's pre-1965 and twin-shock meeting at Perry's Farm, just north of Bath racecourse on the A46. They are expected to include Barry Barthorpe, Steven and Roger Hand, Mike Palfrey, Giles Pursey and Rob Halliday.

The North Somerset club are staging a two-hour timed and observation event at Ubley Drove, near Charterhouse-on-Mendip, the same day.

Competitors in the trials class are expected to include Jason Hamblin, Martin Annetts, Paul Manning, John Leigh and Justin Adams, and in the Enduro class Tim Walters, Tom Smith, Andy Scrivens and Bob Lees.

A few miles away, the Mendip Vale club's observation only Brockley Cup event takes place at Churchill Rocks, overlooking the A38 at Churchill Cross. The event is expected to attract many of the Wessex Centre's leading riders.
