South Bristol Community Hospital staff carry out healthchecks in Bedminster
People in south Bristol were given a taste of the health services on offer on their doorstep while they shopped for their grocery shopping.
Staff from the South Bristol Community Hospital urgent care centre carried out blood pressure checks and gave shoppers information from a stand in Asda, Bedminster.
Sarah Brierley, Bristol Community Health’s urgent care centre lead , said: “As the centre is fairly new, people don’t always know where we are or what kind of care they can access at the centre, so we wanted to reach out to people living in South Bristol.
“We were really pleased with the response we received from the public on Wednesday, speaking to more than 200 people throughout the day.”
