Sarah Brierley, Bristol Community Health’s urgent care centre lead , said: “As the centre is fairly new, people don’t always know where we are or what kind of care they can access at the centre, so we wanted to reach out to people living in South Bristol.

“We were really pleased with the response we received from the public on Wednesday, speaking to more than 200 people throughout the day.”

“If the mid-Staffordshire scandal is anything to go by I think I'd rather get my health checks done by the shelf-stackers in Asda.”

“Odd they have the spare time and staff to carry out checks in Asda, but if you visit the drop in centre at the Hospital you have to wait for house and hours, before they bother to see you.
Maybe people are not bothering to go there, it is a somewhar dead place with a contant stream of empty buses, and a pay car park.”
