Somerset were battling back at tea on day three of their Championship match with Worcestershire at Taunton.

Having been bowled out for 280 in reply to the visitors' 571, they were 113-1 in their second innings following on.

Arul Suppiah was 65 not out while Justin Langer, in his final first-class match, was on 45.

The one man to go was Marcus Trescothick who edged the second ball of the innings, from Matt Mason, to second slip for a duck.

Somerset's first innings was ended at 280 just after lunch when Charl Willoughby bunted a catch to mid-off from the bowling of Gareth Andrew. David stiff was left 30 not out.
