Cutters Friday stretched their unbeaten run to six Somerset County League Premier Division victories with a well earned 3-1 win at Winscombe.

Cutters were ahead after 30 seconds when Andy Nash out-jumped his marker, flicked the ball forward before beating the advancing keeper.

With Scott Saunders outstanding in midfield, the visitors went close to increasing their lead with Jamie Church and Ryan Bending both hitting the woodwork.

Two minutes before half time they went 2-0 up when Matt Hobbs headed he ball back into the goalmouth for Danny Spill to crash home a well struck volley.

Ten minutes into the second half Saunders created the opening for Bending to make it 3-0 with a well struck 20 yard drive before Winscombe pulled a goal back in the 80th minute but shortly after they had a player sent off.

Nailsea United were ahead twice against the run of play after two brilliant individual goals from Matt Long but they lost 5-2 at home against Bishops Lydeard.

Frome Town Reserves have climbed top following their 5-3 home victory over Cheddar and Bridgwater Town Reserves' 4-2 defeat at Glastonbury Town.

Division One leaders St George Easton in Gordano were 6-0 home winners over Worle to remain four points clear of Fry Club, who were 2-1 winners in their local derby clash against Keynsham Town Reserves at The Crown Field.

Ashley Hudd gave Fry's a 10th minute lead before Lee Forrestell added a second 10 minutes later. Keynsham pulled a goal back in the 70th minute.

Third placed Paulton Rovers Reserves won 1-0 against Stockwood Green thanks to Matt Latham's 60th minute match-winner.

But Green were unlucky not to earn a point when a free kick just before the final whistle hit the cross bar.

Brislington Reserves were easy 5-1 winners against Langford Rovers while Nailsea Town were 1-0 winners at Portishead Town Reserves.
