Katie, who is studying a BA in Home Design (Fashion and Textiles), said her collection was inspired by her grandmother's jewellery box and includes silks which have been hand dyed.
Katie, a former Nailsea School pupil, said: "I am really excited about London Graduate Fashion Week.
"It is a massive opportunity to show my collection in front of the fashion world and hopefully get noticed by the industry.
"I love my collection – it looks stunning and will look great on the catwalk under the lights and set to music. All of our collections look great and I am sure it will be a fabulous show."
Katie will go head to head against 1,000 others hoping to win the £20,000 River Island Gold Award top prize. This is the ninth year that Somerset College has been selected to have their own show at the event.
Fashion tutor Gary Mills said: "Although we are only a small college, we are proud to have our own show on the main catwalk with other major institutions, including London College of Fashion, Manchester Metropolitan and Northumbria universities. Year on year the students' work looks fabulous on the catwalk"
Somerset College's show at London Graduate Fashion Week is on June 9 at 4pm at Earls Court 2 in London. Tickets can be bought at www.gfw.org.uk/ gfwadmission.html.
