Somerset CCC star Jos Buttler hits another fifty for England - but this time it's in vain
JOS Buttler hit a second successive Twenty20 fifty for England XI in New Zealand – but it was not enough to prevent a final-ball defeat at Whangarei.
The 22-year-old Somerset batsman followed up Tuesday’s match-winning 57 not out from 24 balls by scoring 51 from 31 balls in the second warm-up match against New Zealand XI. His knock included five fours and two sixes, adding to the six fours and three sixes he hit a day earlier.

Along with Eoin Morgan (51 not out) and Michael Lumb (45), Buttler helped England XI post 170-5, only for New Zealand to reach 171-7 when Matt Henry scored a single off the final ball.
Earlier, Tom Latham had scored 64 for New Zealand, with skipper Stuart Broad taking 3-24 for England.
