Ms Wade said: "Visiting St Peter's Hospice is something very close to my heart as my father passed away from cancer and I understand how important these places are to give the comfort and respite and a peaceful environment to those who are sick and in there last stages of life."

Manager of the Westbury-on-Trym shop, Mandi Gibbons, said: "It was absolutely fantastic to have Fiona come to the shop and customers enjoyed meeting her. It was nice to see people taken by surprise as it was someone they were not expecting to be there. To have someone who is well-known and much-loved and respected linked with the hospice is great. We always welcome every single person who comes into this shop whoever they are."
