Sneyd Park win Downs League Charity Cup on penalties against Bristol Barcelona
It took a penalty shoot-out to decide the winners of the Downs League Charity Cup after the game finished 2-2.
Sneyd enjoyed the better part of the opening half, Antonio Carnevale had a goal ruled out for offside then it took a brave save by Barca keeper Simon Venn to thwart Matt Arnold.

On the half hour, Ally Stuart created room to slam home Sneyd's opener.
Minutes later an own goal by Tom Portingale doubled Sneyd's lead.
Barca's attacks were being thwarted by central defender Colin Appleby, but Dan Cannon reduced the deficit on the stroke of half-time. Barca's spirited comeback was helped when Sneyd were reduced to 10 men following injury and their comeback was completed when a long cross was headed in by defender John Sheppard with just minutes remaining.
In the penalty shoot-out, Sneyd Park converted all their spot-kicks and Sneyd keeper Rob Perrott made a vital save to give his side the trophy which was presented by former Downs Ranger, Gordon Millward.
Sneyd Park then went on to begin the season in ominous fashion with a 5-0 demolition of newly-promoted Saints Old Boys.
Antonio Carnevale grabbed a brace and further goals were added by Gareth Browning, Matt Arnold and Rich Sargent as Saints Old Boys suffered a difficult introduction to life in the top-flight.
Bristol Barcelona were the biggest winners of the day after handing Clifton St Vincents a 7-0 thumping. Andy Haywood, Dan Cannon and Steve Newell all grabbed two goals each.
Chris Beasley added the other but the afternoon could have turned out differently for Clifton if Max Davies had not missed an early spot-kick.
A hat-trick from Andrew Hamilton-Dunn and a strike from Ashley Sands helped Easton Cowboys to a comfortable 4-0 victory over AFC Bohemia.
Eric Labi (2), Mike Stubbs (2) and Dan Jones (2) were all on the scoresheet as Torpedo hammered Jamaica Bell 6-1 while Cotswool overcame Portland Old Boys 5-1.
Ed Troughton (2) Tom Dudley, Nima Kajavi, Rob Kenward helped Cotswool come back from conceding an early Craig Grist goal that had given Portland the lead.
Lawes Juniors and Sporting Greyhound played out an exciting 3-3 draw. Steve Pool, Simon Cleaves and Adam Chequer were on target for Greyhound while Olly Bendall, Pat Riley and Nick Garrett grabbed the goals for Lawes.
St Andrews got off to a good start in their Division II campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win over Sneyd Park Reserves 3-0. Mark Cornish, Luke Allan and Steve Sheppard all opened their accounts for the season.
Jamie Hillier gave Tebby AFC an early lead but James Pike grabbed an equaliser soon after for Clifton St Vincents Reserves as the two sides ended in stalemate.
An angled shot from Tom Curtis proved decisive as Clifton Rockets Reserves edged out DDAS 1-0 in Division III.
John Rugman was on the scoresheet for Evergreen as they drew 1-1 with Clifton St Vincents. Joe Lydiard grabbed the winning goal as Portland Old Boys Reserves gained a splendid 3-2 win against Stoke Bishop. Andy Morris and Rob Jarvis were also on target.
John Sturgess, Mark Lyons, Dan Kanaris and Matt Little grabbed the goals as Sporting Greyhound Reserves beat Sneyd Park A 4-1. Rob Davey scored a consolation penalty for Sneyd Park.
Louis Hann was Luccombe Garage's scorer in the 4-1 defeat against LA Cricketers.
Chris Lewis scored four goals and Max Osborne smashed a hat-trick as Jersey Rangers recorded the biggest win in Division III with a 13-3 success over West Town United.
Dan Eddolls and Dave Stone both hit doubles as Conham Rangers began their campaign with an easy 4-1 win over Hydez FC Reserves in Division III.
Cotham Old Boys had Will Boney leading the way in a 4-1 win against Tebby AFC Reserves. Louis Fear hit both goals in Lyon FC Reserves' 6-2 defeat against Bengal Tigers.
