Sivers sets up Southmead win over Almondsbury Town reserves

Rob Sivers struck twice as Southmead CS Athletic maintained their unbeaten start to the season in Premier I with a 4-2 home victory over Almondsbury Town Reserves.

Captain Chris Sterr was also among the goalscorers for Southmead, who lead the table on goal difference from CTK Southside, 3-1 winners at Glenside Five OB.

James Batchelor, Lee Phillips and James Donegan were on target for CTK, with Nick Stewart replying for Glenside.

Goals from Nick Alexander and Kieran Jenkins gave Avonmouth an early 2-0 lead at home to Old Georgians but the visitors hit back to win 4-2 and move into third place.

Scott Barclay scored twice, with Andy Campbell and a Ben Tucker penalty completing their tally.

Cadbury Heath Reserves are still unbeaten after drawing 2-2 at Creswicke Road against Broad Plain House.

Chris Davey, Ollie Slade and Simon Williams were the South Glos (Hambrook) scorers in a 3-0 home win over Winford PH.

Ridings High lead Premier II by one point after beating Brislington A 3-1 thanks to Tom Burnard, Ryan Weeks and a header from Paul Thompson.

Promoted Bristol Athletic moved into second place, hitting back from a 1-0 half-time deficit with two Paul Lea goals beat Tytherington Rocks Reserves 2-1 and retain their 100 per cent record.

Goalkeeper Carl Bush saved a penalty to help Wessex Wanderers bounce back from last week's heavy GFA Cup defeat with a 3-2 victory over Bristol North West. Luke Webster, Gary Russell and Nick Blackmore scored for Wanderers.

Thomas Vaughan scored both goals for Almondsbury UWE Reserves, who shared four goals with visitors Lockleaze.

Severn Beach won 1-0 at Whitchurch with a goal from Craig Lancastle, while Bristol Telephones drew 0-0 at home to St Aldhelms Reserves to stay unbeaten in third place

Little Stoke won for the first time this season, 5-1 at home to Lawrence Weston Reserves, thanks to goals from John Rugman (2), Joe Hardwick, Dwayne Mitchell and Matt Bernard.

Kane Adams hit five goals for Ashton Seniors, 9-2 winners against Broad Plain House Reserves in the only game played in Division I.

Hanham Athletic Colts raced into a 4-0 half-time lead in their Division III home game against Broad Plain House A, but the Knowle-based side hit back to score four times in the second half to earn an unexpected point.

Chris Fallon bagged a brace for Oldbury Crusaders Reserves, who lead Division IV with a 100 per cent record after beating AFC Spartans 3-0. Dan Davies was their other scorer.

Filton Athletic Reserves kept up their challenge with a 4-1 home victory over South Glos (Hambrook) Reserves. Jason Gore netted twice and was joined on the scoresheet by Martin Morris and Matthew Gould.

A second-half goal by Clayton Kingman earned Wessex Wanderers Reserves their first point of the season at home to Ridings High A.

Emersons Green won for the first time this season, beating previously unbeaten Lawrence Weston Reserves 5-3 thanks to doubles from Gary Jones and Richard Springett and a John Bennett strike.

Wanderers, unbeaten since the opening day of the season, continued their climb up the table with an 8-0 romp at Coupland Insulation. Nick Winfield took the scoring honours with give goals.

St Annes Town are still unbeaten but dropped two points after sharing six goals at Avonmouth A.

Rockleaze Avonside top Division V after a 3-2 win at Mangotsfield United B.

Jay Weare scored four times as Stoke Rangers demolished Totterdown POB Reserves 10-0. They have now won their last three leagues games, scoring 35 goals.

Fishponds OB B ended AEK Boco Colts' unbeaten record, winning 4-3 away from home. Fishponds, who are still unbeaten, raced into a 4-0 lead thanks to doubles from Jason Manning and Lee Taylor, but they were left hanging on at the end after Boco's George Brimble scored three times in the last 15 minutes.

Two goals by Alan Cox and a Paul Lippiatt strike earned Parson Street OB Reserves a 3-3 draw at home to Stoke Gifford United A.

Two new clubs prop up the table. Knowle Rangers are bottom after losing 3-1 at Lawrence Weston A, while Whiteladies are also without a point after ging down 4-2 at Whitchurch Reserves.
