Single mum denies conning man, 68
A single mother has appeared in court charged with conning an old man out of his savings.
Lisa Summerell, 27, of Twyning Green, near Tewkesbury, pleaded not guilty to four counts of fraud.
She is accused of befriending Michael Tompkins, 68, also of Twyning Green, and borrowing thousands of pounds from him between September, 2007, and March, 2008.
A trial will be fixed for a later date. The defendant was released on bail.
