The Sing Thing with Johnny Coppin
ACT (Arts and Community in Thornbury) invite you to come and lift up your voices at this NEW event for singers! Raise the roof in the Armstrong Hall at an afternoon workshop with Johnny Coppin, well known popular singer/songwriter who will be teaching two of his songs, one specially written for the occasion. Expert guidance will be on offer from Liz Martin and Kate Phillipson-Masters who both run numerous wonderful choirs in the area and will be getting our vocal chords tuned up in some exciting warm up sessions
Choirs and individual singers are all welcome – just book your place and be part of the beautiful harmonies. There is no need to be able to read music. The workshop will begin at 1.30 and end at 5.30pm when participants can go home or enjoy a meal at one of the many Thornbury restaurants. In the evening there will be a concert featuring the songs learned during the day and a performance from Johnny Coppin – always a delight. So – be inspired, be uplifted, support the ACT project and give your voice a treat!! The cost for this wonderful occasion is just £10 which includes mid-afternoon refreshments and the evening concert.
