Shipp sails to easy victory
Vince Shipp scored a comfortable victory in the Landsend Bank Holiday Open fished on Specimen and Match Lake at Wedmore.
The Westerleigh AC member poled soft, 6mm pellet at full depth and 13 metres off Match 22 for 105-2-0 of carp to almost 8-0-0.
Avon Angling's Tony Rixon came second at Specimen 39 where banded pellet poled at 16 metres to the island margins tempted a 73-0-0 mixed bag.
Eddie Wynne finished first in the silverfish category with a 42-0-0 catch taken with soft 6mm pellet poled at 14 metres centre off Specimen 36.
