Police are trying to trace sheep rustlers who took a flock of up to 80 animals from a field in West Huntspill, near Burnham-on-Sea.

Along with 20 to 30 ewes and 50 two-week-old lambs, together worth about £3,000, the thieves also stole a livestock weighing machine.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with information about the whereabouts of the animals, which were stolen between March 12 and 13, to call them on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
