Sex attack on girl,16, in Bristol
A 16-year-old girl became the victim of a brutal sex attack as she walked home in Bristol during the early hours.
Police have issued a fresh for witnesses following the serious assault in Minto Road, St Werburgh's, on Saturday.
Detectives want anyone who might have seen or heard anything or who believes they might know who was responsible to come forward.
The officer leading the hunt for the girl's attacker, DCI David McCallum, said: "This young woman was innocently walking home when she was dragged off the road and subjected to a violent, malicious and cowardly sexual assault by a stranger.
"The victim has been heavily traumatised by this appalling crime. It is crucial that we catch the man who did this to her.
"He may have picked up some mud on his clothes in the course of this attack and may have changed or been seen with mud on his clothes.
"I would urge people to look at the description, think carefully and consider whether they might have information to assist the inquiry."
The attacker is described as in his mid-30s, of light-skinned mixed-race or Mediterranean appearance, with shortish curly dark hair.
He was cleanshaven, of medium height and slim build with a thin face and clear complexion.
He wore a dark, long-sleeved shirt with thin stripes or checked pattern on it and blue jeans. He spoke with a Bristolian accent.
