Second Banksy mural in Bristol vandalised
A second Banksy mural in Bristol has become the victim of a paint-gun attack.
The Mild Mild West mural in Stokes Croft was splattered with blue paint in an attack just hours after the mural on Park Street was splattered with paint.

The Mild Mild West Banksy mural in Bristol was vandalised
This morning a clean up operation was in force by the People's Republic of Stoke's Croft who said it was the third time they had cleaned the mural.
Councillor Spud Murphy also set to work this morning armed with soapy water and a scrubbing brush, in an attempt to clean up the mural on Park Street.
Rumours that a man had been arrested after the first attack were denied by police.
The paint on the Mild Mild West has already been cleaned off today.

“What I think is so cool is that in Stokes Croft, a so called 'deprived area', the Banksy was cleaned up within a few hours really professionally by a bunch of volunteers at no cost to the tax payer, whereas on Park Street there was a bunch of people messing around for days getting in a flap! Stokes Croft rules!”

“Jonboy, its just a rumour dear boy, dont get so uptight about it ,however given the recent comment in the Times and the fact the paint is blue the motive and intent doesnt escape some people and given the fact is was done in such cowardly fashion all points to the "gas hit squad" . In any event Im sure you know when the red paint was splashed over it, the culprits stated their reasons at that time.”

“Banksy vs The Gas. Yes, I can see it now, they used that blue paint. It makes perfect sense.
So we can therefore presume it was our unwashed friends from Ashton Gate who defaced it the first time a few months back then, since that paint was red.
Brilliant lads, quite brilliant.”

“Banksy is a local hero and the fact he supports Bristol City clearly shows his class and taste.
Vandals attacking Vandals is something new, and quite clearly pathetic. Not to say Banksy is a vandal, but i've already used the word Hero.”

“Typical Gas.
Constructive as always. Maybe if they worried about their awful football team instead of vandalism, they wouldnt be in division 5 or wherever it is they are.”

“Thats the second time that particular piece of art has been defaced! If I was the owner of the barbour shop its painted on I would prosecute whoever did it-thats if they ever find out.
Obviously people are that jealous.
If they dont like the vandallism then why are they using vandallism? It doesn't make sense to me! Go paint on a dull wall! There are lots of them around!”
