Bristol Rovers have increased season ticket prices for the 2010-2011 campaign.

For 2009-2010, a season ticket on the Family Terrace was available for £213.75 before May 30. But this year the cheapest ticket is £225 if bought prior to April 30.

Early Bird prices have generally gone up by about £10, while prices from June 28 onwards have gone up by £15 or more compared to a similar date last year.

Tickets go on sale on Monday and prices will rise from between £10 and £20 for the May 3 to June 26 period. The full price will apply from June 28 onwards until the start of the campaign.

This year Rovers have introduced a new price bracket for those aged between 16 and 21 who are not in full-time education and therefore do not qualify for concessionary prices.

In a statement to fans, Rovers chairman Nick Higgs said: "We have released season tickets even earlier this year, to give you maximum time to pay for your ticket. There is a great incentive for you to sign up early, as there is an Early Bird offer that applies until April 30."

Under-11s can again claim a free season ticket if purchased along with one full paying adult.

Individual match-day tickets will go up by in all areas for all price brackets, except juvenile tickets. The cost of season tickets can be spread using a finance package. The club will release details soon.

“Another great move by this Club that seems to wish nothing but suffering to a once loyal fan base.”

“Increasing the cost of a season tickets AND matchday prices. I haven't had a pay rise for three years. Do the Rovers board really have any sense of reality? Most clubs are either freezing prices, reducing them or offering interest free credit. Well that's me out of the frame for next season as I would rather use the money to have a weeks holiday, something I wouldn't be able to do if I bought a season ticket to watch third division football.”

“I dont mind paying this increase if it goes towards a wage bill for decent players and not towards a higher wage bill of some of our current players. Most should take a pay cut or leave or is this going to LL as bonuses for a great job he has done NOT.”
